do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I understand that professional photography is an investment, and I want to make preserving your memories as accessible as possible. Flexible payment plans are available for most full sessions. A retainer is required to reserve your session date, and the remaining balance can be divided into scheduled payments leading up to your session.
If you're interested in a payment plan, just let me know when booking, and I'll be happy to discuss options that work for you.
Please note that all balances must be paid in full before your gallery is delivered.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Sessions within 30 miles of Volga, South Dakota are included in your package price. For locations beyond 50 miles, a travel fee of $0.75 per mile will apply based on the round-trip distance.
If you're considering a location outside the included travel area, feel free to reach out for a custom quote before booking.
what should we wear?
Once your session is booked, you'll receive a welcome guide that includes detailed outfit recommendations, styling tips, color palette suggestions, and guidance on coordinating outfits for your family. The goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable while creating a cohesive look that photographs beautifully.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Your safety and comfort are always my top priorities. If severe weather, heavy rain, high winds, or other unsafe conditions are expected, we will reschedule your session to the next mutually available date at no additional charge.
Cloudy skies alone typically do not require a reschedule and can often create beautiful, soft lighting for photographs. I will monitor the forecast leading up to your session and communicate with you if weather conditions may impact our plans.
what if my kids don't cooperate?
Don't worry, you're not alone! Children are naturally curious, energetic, and sometimes unpredictable, and that's completely okay. My approach is relaxed and child-led, allowing plenty of room for play, movement, and genuine interactions.
Rather than expecting perfect smiles and poses, I focus on capturing authentic moments and the unique personalities that make your family special. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments, cuddles, laughter, and even a little bit of silliness.
The best thing you can do is arrive ready to have fun and let me handle the rest.
when will my gallery be delivered?
Your fully edited online gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session date. During busy seasons, delivery may take up to 4 weeks, but I will always communicate any changes to the estimated turnaround time.
Once your gallery is ready, you'll receive an email with a link to view, download, share, and purchase professional prints and products directly from your gallery.
when should i book my newborn session?
I recommend booking your newborn session during your second or third trimester to ensure availability around your due date. Since babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule, your session date will be finalized once your little one is born.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 7–10 days after birth, but beautiful newborn images can be captured at any age. My goal is to create a relaxed, baby-led experience that focuses on your family's connection and the precious details of your newest addition.
do you provide raw files?
No, RAW files are not provided. RAW images are unfinished files that require professional editing and do not reflect the final quality or artistic vision of my work.
Each image delivered in your gallery is carefully selected and professionally edited to ensure it meets the standards of Jenny Wells Photography. The edited images you receive represent the final product and style that you see throughout my portfolio.
